The Royals have their pitcher again.
Kansas Metropolis acquired lefty Mike Montgomery from Chicago on Monday, the staff introduced. The Cubs obtained catcher Martín Maldonado in return.

The Royals signed Maldonado to a one-year deal in March, however the 32-year-old has underperformed on the plate, batting .224 after 73 video games with the membership.
In the meantime, Montgomery made 20 reduction appearances with the Cubs this season. He’s 1-2 with a 5.67 ERA.
