Former Sri Lankan captain, Mahela Jayawardene has declined a task that was supplied by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
Jayawardene states that he “didn’t understand” the function he was being assigned with. With the subcontinent nation struggling to seek out type in worldwide cricket, Mahela believes that the general construction of Sri Lankan cricket wants an overhaul.
With him not being consulted by the board members earlier than the beginning of the World Cup, the 41-year-old feels that “there’s no room to come in and add something,” for the reason that selectors have already made their selection.
